Q2; Are the rates real?
- With Savvytel we are proud that we deliver a great
12c per 30 seconds flat rate to anyone, anywhere, anytime on any
network. No gimmicks, no catches! Just Real Value - Always!
Savvytel rates are so low because; the Telecommunications Act has allowed Savvytel to obtain a retail license to legally purchase phone calls at a low enough rate that Savvytel can make a profit and are always cheaper than the carrier!

Q3; Do my SavvyTel call credits Expire?
- At SavvyTel, we refresh your credits every 30 days
so that your Call Credits NEVER Expire. The billing platform must
always have a date, so we just keep extending it forever.
In the event that the service is not used for a period of 6 months (that is: no calls, no SMS, no activity), we reserve the right to deem the SIM to be lost or stolen. At this time the SIM will be switched off. In the event that the SIM is switched off, any credits remaining will be lost.

Q6; How do I register my Savvytel SIM?
- You are holding a very clever piece of technology.
And it's smart too, most SIMs are 32 kilobytes, the one you're holding
is 64 kilobytes. This allows us to do some very clever things. Soon
your SIM (Savvytel) will have international roaming as well as other
development features in the future.
To activate your SIM all you need to do is register (fill out the form on our website "Register Here" and then call 555 from your mobile phone with your SavvyTel SIM). If for any reason you have problems or would just rather have us do it, feel free to call us on 1300 800 629. To register over the phone will take about 2 minutes; you will need 1 form of ID with you at the time of registration (either an Australian Drivers License or an Australian or Overseas Passport).
Savvytel is all about service, we really do love to hear from customers, should you call outside of business hours we will call you back (in fact we look forward to it).
Every customer needs to be registered. Not only is this a government regulation but it is enforced to keep your money spent with Savvytel safe. If your SIM is lost or stolen we can safely disable it in order that no-one else can get their hands on your funds.

Q7; When I register my number cannot be found in
the database?
- This means is that you are one step ahead of
yourself! It means that you have already registered with Savvytel. To
confirm that you are a registered customer of Savvytel you can always
call customer support on 1300 800 629.
Once you have registered your mobile phone number with Savvytel the number is removed from a certain section of our highly intelligent database and it is placed into the 'registered numbers' section. This is to keep your number safe! Your number is now in the vault so that it cannot be accidentally registered to anyone else through typos on the registration page etc.

Q9; Why am I having trouble with transferring my
Mobile number to Savvytel (Known as porting)?
- Transferring my Mobile number to Savvytel (Known as
porting), can take 1 to 48 hours for us to get your mobile number
ported to Savvytel. Unfortunately this is a standard industry procedure
and there is no way that Savvytel can speed this process up, as much as
we would like to! If it has already been over 48 hours and your number
is yet to port then please check your email account. If there has been
a complication in your port then we would have emailed you to update
the information that we need from you. If not please call Savvytel on
1300 800 629 & we will finalise your Mobile Number transfer to
Savvytel.

Q10; I am having trouble recharging online?
- Sometimes online recharges will not work because our
database is very, very smart! Our automated systems are great, our
computers are great! They only work with 2 things: 0's and 1's! So
unfortunately if someone misspells or incorrectly types your details it
will not recognise you. However your name and mobile number were typed
when you initially registered, that is how it must be typed every time.
E.g.: if your name was typed as 'PETER', you cannot recharge by typing
your name 'Peter' or 'peter'; it must be 'PETER'. i.e. all in CAPS Lock
etc. To confirm how you have been registered please call Savvytel on
1300 800 629. We will have you up and running in no time.

Q11; I have recharged my phone on line but my
account balance has not been topped up?
- When you buy your recharge online you still need to
call the recharge line (555) to update your account balance. As
soon as you exit the recharge page an email is sent to the email
address you have given to Savvytel. This email contains your 12 digit
recharge pin. To update your account balance just ring 555, choose
option 1, then follow the prompts to complete the recharge!

Q14; How much does premium SMS cost?
- Contest, competition, TV promotions and other
premiums texts are charged at premium SMS rates. The rates charged are
NOT decided by SavvyTel but rather they are set by the contest,
competition, TV promotion etc organisers. Just so you know, often what
can happen with premium SMS's is that once you have sent one SMS to the
premium number they can subscribe you to a monthly/weekly etc testing
list. Whereby they will consistently text you their promotions and in
turn will be charging you the premium SMS rate every time you open
their SMS. If you are having difficulties with premium SMS bugs then
all you have to do is give the promotion/contest etc a call and ask
them to unsubscribe you or call us on 1300 800 629 and we will assist
you to unsubscribe.
